Fall 2023 - Interior Design College Intern (St. Louis)in GAC St. Louis

Unique Skills:

Candidates must be proficient with taking instruction and time management, as well as understand design theory and principles.

Internship - Late August/early September to December for at least 14 weeks.

This position will be posted until 6/2/2023, and the interviewing proces will start in June.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide effective assistance with presentations (sample boards, renderings, drawings) of aircraft design concepts incorporating customers requirements to achieve marketing objectives and to meet all FAA requirements
2. Interface with interior design to develop effective presentations for aircraft refurbishments and/or completions.
3. Assist in coordinating all fabric material inquiries and reserves to check for availability for assigned aircraft
4. Organize, prepare, distribute and file materials and data to help establish and maintain effective communication and information systems within the design department.
5. Support completion design as required.

Additional Functions:
1. Maintain organization and cleanliness of sample library

Education and Experience Requirements:

1. Currently seeking a bachelors or masters degree in Interior Design in a full time capacity.
2. Junior level or above.
3. Graduatingafter December 2023
4. Minimum2.8 cumulative gpa or higher at the time of application, and it must be noted on the resume submitted.
5. Must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship.
6. Be available to work at least 16 - 40 hours for 14 weeks.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

1. Knowledge of design principles, color science, textile, carpet and leather techniques.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
