We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Description

The Electrical Engineer will provide in-depth research and analysis of foreign systems in support of US Navy efforts to develop and validate weapon design, countermeasures, and tactics. Specific responsibilities will include:

    Operate, maintain, and calibrate network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab equipment.
  • Analyze and test electronic systems to include digital, analog, radio frequency (RF), antenna, microcontroller, digital signal processing (DSP), digital forensics, and sensor components.
  • Perform RF measurements and model/simulate the RF systems using programs such as CST.
  • Create fixtures, interfaces, and models for testing and analysis.
  • Create schematics and flowcharts, research electronic components, analyze circuit operation, and photograph/document findings.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years electrical technical engineering experience and knowledge of working in a laboratory environment conducting analysis of RF systems using equipment identified in the position description.
  • Experience in hardware and/or software reverse engineering
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in effective communications (writing, speaking, briefing)
  • Schematic Generation: OrCAD, Altium, EAGLE, KiCAD, Diptrace
  • Circuit Simulation, measurement, automation: PSpice, LabVIEW
  • Micro-miniature soldering experience
  • Software Programming: C/C++, Python, PHP
  • Software Disassembly: IDA Pro, Ghidra
  • Digital Forensic: EnCASE, FTK, X-Ways, OSForensics, Autopsy
  • CAD packages: SolidWorks, NX
  • Antenna design and simulation: CST Microwave studio suite, Antenna Magus
  • CompTIA certification: A+, Network+, Security+
Security Clearance
  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartment Information (TS/SCI) material. Due to the nature of this work, we are unable to consider applicants who do not hold this level of clearance.
