POSITION OVERVIEW
AITC is seeking a Network Administrator to support our government Information Technology (IT) program. As a Network Administrator you will ensure successful operations and maintenance of the Information and Infrastructure systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
* Provide supervision and guidance for network administrators (Senior-level).
* Installing and configuring various Juniper and Cisco Network Routing/Switching devices (OSPF).
* Creating and maintaining various Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) in support of Layer2.
* Plan, prepare, implement, and install, O&M network connectivity to the Fort Bragg ICAN.
* Update and apply Cisco and Juniper Operating System (OS) patches and software enhancements.
* Apply and maintain appropriate Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical.
* Install and configure General Dynamics Keying Generator (KG-175D) and KG-175A/G network encryption devices to include updating Communication Security (COMSEC) keys.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair any network issues or problems related to network connectivity to include associated VLAN, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), or Virtual Protocol Label Switching (VPLS) related problems.
* Attend working groups and architectural design meetings for proposed changes to the network architecture.
* Make recommendations and propose changes to improve the network performance of the network.
* American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA)/Electronics Industry Alliance (EIA) Building Telecommunications Wiring Standards, National Electrical Code, and IEEE (802.3, 802.5 and 802.11) standards.
* Additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* ITIL Foundations within 6 months.
* SECRET Clearance
* Security + CE
* Must be a US citizen.
* Able to work Overtime as required.
* Must be available to travel as required.
Associate Level (Experience & Education) - 1-3 years related experience / High School Diploma or GED (Associate degree in a related field preferred).
Intermediate Level (Experience & Education) - 4-6 years related experience / Associate degree in a related field (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
Senior Level (Experience & Education) - 7+ years related experience / Bachelor's degree in a related field.
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
* Knowledgeable in Army Network Enterprise Center operations
* LAN/CAN/WAN

* VoIP
* Department of Defense information network (DODIN)
* VPNs
* IAVM
* STIGs
* Proficiency in Ciena SONET technology, with hands-on experience in deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
* Extensive knowledge of DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) systems, including understanding of optical networking principles.
* Familiarity with Ciena equipment and software, particularly in the context of SONET and DWDM networks.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Ciena SONET and DWDM networks.
* Experience in planning and executing network upgrades and migrations involving Ciena SONET/DWDM technology.
* Experience using NetOps tools such as juniper, JUNOS Space CISCO Prime, ARUBA wireless controllers, wireless access points (WAPS), wireless intrusion devices (WIDS), TCP/IP, Routing & Switching with Cisco, Juniper, COOP/DR Planning and Execution, MS Office Suite, TMS, and Remedy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Predominantly indoors in normal office environment.

* Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds.
