M&P Engineer ODA ARin GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
This M&P engineer AR position requires a broad knowledge in properties, processing, and characterization of metallic and nonmetallic materials which apply to the aircraft interiors/exteriors for both production and completed airplane. The ideal candidate should have proven experience running materials and process qualification and certification programs in accordance with applicable FAA regulations. The experience should involve writing and approving materials technical standards, materials processing standards, certification plans, test plans and conducting testing when necessary. The candidate must also have a good understanding of the FAA and the ODA procedures for both TC and STC certification. Active delegation from FAA or other Authority as DER or an AR(ODA-UM) is required.
Additional requirements:
Experience in determining certification basis, establishing certification strategies, developing alternative method of compliance including Issue Paper, AMOC, ELOS, Special Conditions, etc.
Experience in creating, maintaining, and approving materials specification and materials processing specification.
Demonstrated ability to comprehend and apply FAA regulations, technical guidance and requirements which are applicable for aircraft interior/exterior materials through certification plans, test plans, test reports, and RFC.
Proven experience in interfacing with FAA and ODA for technical issues regarding to the aircraft certification from M&P aspects.
Hands-on experience on testing the physical, thermal, and mechanical properties of aircraft materials through instrument such as SEM, EDX, XRD, FTIR, TGA, DSC, Instron et al.
Extensive knowledge of industry standards and procedures (MMPDS, CMH-17, AMS, ASTM and SACMA), capable to perform statistically analysis of testing data and generates design allowable of metallic/nonmetallic materials.
Experience in working with internal and external supplier.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
