The Coastal Harbor Health System is hiring a Fulltime Dictation Specialist

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 114-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50 bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and filing all dictated reports.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of discharge summaries.
• Dictating discharge summaries for physicians.
• Demonstrate knowledge of discharge summary requirements as established by CHHS rules and regulations.
• Assist internists and provide clerical support to the Medical Records Dept.
• Assemble and audit discharged patient records and abstract information and data.
• Follow CHHS time and attendance policy.
• Will adhere to all safety policies and safe work practices.
• Will adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
• Support facility internal and external customer service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requriements:

Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field or have RN/LPN license in state of Georgia with behavioral health experience preferred or strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, and pharmacology. Must be able to demonstrate the ability and competency to perform the job duties under the supervision HIM Director/guidance of the facility Medical Director.
