CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Land Development Project Manager to join our Commercial & Institutional - Land Development/Administration Team at our office in Savannah, GA.

YOUR IMPACT

Effective land development projects hinge on collaborative efforts between developers, regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, consultants, and local review boards. At the outset of a project, CHA prioritizes a comprehensive assessment of its impact on the entire community, accounting for all moving parts. We then skillfully execute development to enhance traffic, stormwater drainage, water quality, sanitary services and the built environment.

At CHA, our Land Development Project Manager provides advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. This role is expected to coordinate contracts with the clients and subcontractors, manage purchase orders, and oversee any other project documents. They are responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of a project within the scope, budget, and schedule as well as managing the overall client relationship.

More specifically, the professional in this role recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures as well as selects proper procedures to self-check their own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations. The Land Development Project Manager identifes, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments as well as continuously monitors the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline specific engineering experience required
  • Project management experience required
  • Ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule of technical tasks
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with the proven ability to practically apply engineering best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience with Civil 3D, local permitting, and client management preferred
  • Ability to develop project specific health and safety plans and verify projects are meeting QA/QC compliance
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment and independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
