JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible forcoordination of material movement process through the packaging department to include university, wholesale, and retail orders. This position is responsible for the correct handling, packaging and labeling ofwork orders. The position reviews supporting documentation for bestpractices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

University Orders/Kits

  • Follows approved Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with Brasseler Quality Manual (n/a)
  • Coordinates the release of work and sales order in the ERP system to the floor based on customer due dates and business needs (15%)
  • Collaborates with team members within the department to ensure orders are being worked on and completed on time (20%)
  • Ensures correct labeling is printed for all orders (10%)
  • Ensure correct supporting documentation (layouts and special instructions per order) (10%)
  • Closes out and ships all completed orders in the ERP system by due date or priority (10%)
  • Provides traceability and allocation of material to support work orders (10%)
  • Files work orders and other documents as required for future reference (5%)
  • Maintains an excel spreadsheet for tracking purposes of all university and wholesale orders (5%)
  • Collaborates with other departments (Sales, QA/QC, Product Management, Warehouse, and Marketing) for problem solving resolutions. 15%)
  • Keeps records of inventory of card stock used for kit layouts and other supplies as needed (5%)
  • Reports updates on university and wholesale orders or retail orders during the daily floor meeting (N/A)
  • Plays an active role in weekly university and wholesale meetings (N/A)
  • Performs other duties as required to meet departmental goals

Retail and Wholesale

These responsibilities are done as time allows.

  • Delivers all completed work orders to the Receiving area so product can be received and placed into finished goods inventory
  • Moves WIP product back into its bulk location
  • Picks confirmed retail work orders as needed
  • Processes Web orders as needed
  • Cross trained to work in other areas within the department as needed
  • Cross trained to work in other departments as needed
  • Serves as back up for Production Coordinator

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years previous experience in a relevant positionhandling multiple priorities; distribution or production experience a plus.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Additional training or education in distribution or supply chain management preferred

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS &COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects effectively and deliver on-time
  • Ability to successfully communicate verbally or in writing to all stake holders, internally and externally
  • Basic math and logic skillsrequired
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
  • Intermediate computer skills to include email, document prep, and spreadsheets-Microsoft Word and ERP system such as AS400, required
  • Knowledge of process flow mapping

TRAVEL / WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel - typically not required
  • Position typically works in a manufacturing environment on site where environmental conditions are stable.
  • May be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a manufacturing environment.
  • The position requires an above average amount of physical activity.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required tostand and walkfor extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch, climb stairs,andmay be required to occasionallylift up to20pounds
  • This position may require overtime during peak production periods.
