SUMMARY

The purpose of the Parts Room Coordinator is to support the organization of the maintenance shop. This position utilizes organizational tools to manage all maintenance parts in accordance with the maintenance team schedule.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

• Tag, organize, and label spare parts areas
• Unload raw material and large spare parts
• Manage parts status in SAP
• Track and organize specific production materials and non-coded parts
• Manage inventory returns
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual cycle counts
• Organize work orders, kitting work orders, issue work order parts and manage work order status
• Gatekeeper to the spare parts area
• Utilize a forklift for material handling related to spare parts inventory
• Maintain good housekeeping of work area
• Provide support coverage for the Maintenance Scheduler
• Any other task as directed by the Maintenance Leader

TPM

• Active member of the PM pillar team
• Perform all TPM duties necessary to ensure the safety of the plant and drive to successful attainment of zero losses, zero defects, and zero injuries

Safety

• Comply with all Lock-Tag-Try (LTT) procedures
• Notify member of Minneapolis Leadership Team in the case of any accident, near miss, or on-the-job injury

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• A successful candidate for this position will have a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment

COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Work up to 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment
• Walk/stand on concrete floor, as required during shift work lasting 8-12 hours
• Routinely ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
• Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary for task
• Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties in accordance with all safety rules
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
