Summary

The Carrier Enterprise Paid Sales Center Summer Intern program responsibilities include exposure to a fast-paced sales and distribution environment. This is a hands-on position with duties that may include warehouse, counter sales, and miscellaneous duties to provide excellent customer service to our client-base. There may be opportunities for exposure to some project related work in our residential sales and/or commercial sales areas. This position gives the individual, as well as Carrier Enterprise, the opportunity to assess each other for future long-term employment opportunities.

Internships can lead to consideration for both Co-Op and full-time employment opportunities upon successful demonstration of the required performance and aptitude for a career with CE. At the end of the internship program, participants may be eligible for consideration for our Sales Management Trainee Program (which is a 12 -18-month rotational program that provides exposure to multiple disciplines including marketing, finance, sales, etc.) Upon undergraduate graduation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to external customers (mechanical contractors, dealers, owners)
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of HVAC products and actively promote our private label brand.
  • Work closely with internal customers (Branch Associates and Sales Managers)
  • Learn Inventory control processes.
  • Gain Shipping and receiving procedural knowledge.
  • Exposure to and hands on experience with Restocking product
  • Follow and adhere to all safety, health, security, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a 2 year or a 4-year college program.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic and detail oriented.
  • Prior work experience and/or internship experience in sales or marketing is a plus (not required)
  • Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment.
