Job Description
Position Title: Production Associate
Wage: $17.32/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours:
1st shift - 8's | 06:00 am - 02:30 pm Monday - Friday
1st shift - 10's | 06:00 am - 04:30 pm Mon-Thurs
QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Production Associate at a company in Marshfield, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. The main responsibility of the production Associate is to Operate equipment for highly repetitive and standardized work, which takes different steps to build a shoe.
Production Associate Responsibilities:
- Safely operate equipment, completing single piece operation with precision
- Inspect leather shoes
- Lace shoes
- Ruff inside of the bottom soles of shoe to be cemented
- Polish shoes with shoe polish chemicals
- Box final product in pairs and prepare for shipment
- Test various soles with water to ensure leak proof and water proof
- Operate injection molding machine
- Frequently pull leathers off of shoe forms
- Sew various material to create the shoes
- Repair the shoes and any defects they may have
- Maintain a clean and safe work area around machines
- Monitor quantities during an order to properly split orders as needed
- Process the received product to be complete for shipment or the next process
Requirements for Production Associate:
- Must follow all established safety rules and procedures
- Must be able to work in loud environment
- Must be able to work in dirty and oily environment
- Must have basic reading skills
- Must be able to work in hot environments
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 of year manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Work 100% of the time in a manufacturing setting near mechanical moving parts, either sitting, standing, or walking
- Withstand frequent repetition of fingers, hand, wrists, and shoulders
- Frequent bending and lifting bins to be placed adjacent to workstation, individual parts placed in the machine weigh up to 10lbs, occasionally lift bulk parts weighing up to 25lbs or more from bin to worktable
